LDS General Conference Caricatures | April 2014

The April 2014 LDS General Conference has come to an end. It’s been a lot of fun drawing these men and women and getting their message in a unique way out in the world. The greatest respect I can show someone is when I draw their caricature. I find the more I love and respect those I draw the better they turn out. Members of the LDS church are always encouraged to share their testimonies through one’s talent–this is my way of sharing with the world that this is a life changing event. I’m not sure how effective my method is but I hope it catching someone’s attention and leads them to the words of prophets. I encourage all to listen to their words and then…..draw a picture to share.

In other news…. Ordain-Women

I love drawing editorial cartoons and I wish I had more time to do so. A very small minority of LDS women are creating some waves in Mormon culture and I couldn’t help but draw this editorial. People on both sides of the issue can appreciate the humor (I hope). 6 more months until the next #ldsconf

I totally laughed out loud (ok, I snorted!) At the matching pants cartoon. I am not a “wear pants to church-er”, but have been caught in my jeans and tee-shirt attending the temple. Once. Not a planned visit, definitely not planned attire for the temple. But it was one of the best sessions I have ever attended…
